Our kennels

The kennels are clean, secure and comfy, offering warm, professional and caring accommodation for your pet while you are away. I believe they provide a safe and well equipped environment and I have a number of staff who interact with your dog frequently to ensure they are happy and well cared for.

Every dog is kennelled and walked individually in our own enclosed paddock. Where there is more than one dog from the same family they are usually kennelled and walked together unless you prefer otherwise. Let me know on booking if you do not wish them to be together so that we can plan accordingly as it is not always possible to provide a separate kennel at the last minute. We are happy to take unneutered dogs and your dogs in season but please give me as much notice as possible so we can make suitable arrangements.

During our quieter, out of season time Copdock Kennels is pleased to announce our new initiative – Winter Walk Club.

Whilst the mornings are dark and evenings come early it can be difficult to squeeze in a decent walk for your dog.

Let us do it for you.

Bring your dog for a morning or afternoon session or all day and we will guarantee they get a good long lead walk on the footpaths across our surrounding fields – often with a companion if suitable.

We can give them breakfast, lunch or tea if required and ensure that they are kept occupied

£12 for a morning or afternoon – 8:00 – 12:00 or 12:00 – 4:00

£18 all day – 8:00 – 4:00

Book 5 sessions and get one free.

What To Bring

  • Food

Whilst it is not possible to stock every food available we do stock a large selection of dog foods, including some puppy/kitten varieties. If your dog has a special diet, specific needs or simply gets upset by a change of diet, we are happy to feed your own food

  • Tablets & Medications

Labelled tablets and medications may be brought in with instructions of when and how to be administered and we can give injections such as insulin for diabetic dogs. Each pet is an individual and each needs to be assessed and treated according to their needs.

  • Toys & Bedding

We provide a plastic bed with vet bedding and can provide quilts for older dogs or in cold weather. Each kennel has heating in the bedding area which comes on automatically when the temperature drops.

If you think it will help settle your dog, do bring your own bedding & toys. Bedding will be washed if it becomes damp/dirty.

Other Information

It helps us to look after your dog well if you can give us as much information about them as possible such as age, preferred food (in case we need to tempt the appetite until they settle down), any medical history or recent medication.

It is also important that we know the name of the veterinary practice you use and an emergency contact number, for yourself or a representative.

You may also wish to consider whether you want me to contact the vet in case of an emergency or talk to you first. If an animal becomes unwell in our care we will try to use your vet if possible, but if, for whatever reason, we can’t reach them we will get emergency care as quickly as we can.

Whilst we will take every effort to take care of your items they are left at owner’s risk so please don’t bring anything too precious.

As an extra service, we do offer to bathe your dog. Please read our terms.
